Rita Johnson

Rita Johnson, 77, of Waco passed away on June 19, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Rita was born on December 15, 1946 to Shelby and Wilma Buchanan. A memorial on her behalf will be at 11:00am, Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Moldbreakers Fellowship at 7509 Fairway Rd, Waco, Tx 76712.

Rita enjoyed cooking and was good at it; her meat loaf was a big hit. She was like a teenager when it came to talking to her friends on the phone, they would chat for hours. She was a member of Moldbreakers Fellowship. Her church family was very important to her. She attended church every Sunday, and loved to worship while she was able, she would then watch online. 

Rita was devoted to caring for others. She sacrificed most of her life taking care of her kids and her mother in her later years. She loved her family and friends unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her father Shelby and her mother Wilma, and grandson Maverick Cole Asbridge. 

She is survived by her daughter Miranda Johnson, son Brian Johnson and wife Alissa, grandchildren Megan Freels, Jagger Freels, Morgan Ender and Dillon Ender, great-grandson Dallas Ender, brother Carlton Buchanan and wife Chris, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
