Rose Carpenter

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Rose Jeanette Carpenter, who left this world peacefully on August 31, 2025, at the age of 96, at Ascension Living Center in Waco, Texas. Born on May 31, 1929, in the small town of Ross, Texas, Rose’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

In 1945, Rose embarked on a remarkable journey when she married her lifelong companion, Frank Carpenter. Together, they built a nurturing home in Waco, later settling in Lorena. For many years, Rose served as a devoted teacher’s aide in the Hallsburg School District, where her warmth and kindness touched countless young hearts. Her love for education was evident to all who knew her.

Rose's spirit shone brightest in the company of her family. She is survived by her two adoring sons, Jimmy (Nancy) Carpenter of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and Ralph Carpenter of Lorena. She was delighted by the joy brought to her life by her grandchildren: Chris Carpenter (Sharon) of Midlothian, Texas; Dawn Jones of Mesquite, Texas; and Shane Carpenter (Casey) of Guffey, Colorado. Rose was also the proud great-grandmother of three wonderful boys: Jarrett Jones, Callahan Carpenter, and Jaxon Carpenter. Each of her family members held a special place in her heart, and her legacy of love will continue to resonate through them.

In memories of joyous gatherings, Rose enjoyed bingo nights, spirited trips to Las Vegas with Frank, and playful evenings of pinochle with her neighbors. A true adventurer at heart, she loved to travel with friends, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Always accompanied by her beloved two puppies, she embraced life with an open heart and a contagious smile.

As we celebrate her life, visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. We invite friends and family to share their stories and remember all the beautiful moments spent with Rose. A graveside service will follow on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff, where Cecil Perry will officiate a ceremony that honors her life’s journey and the love she shared.

In this time of farewell, we embrace the memories of a remarkable woman whose vibrancy enriched the lives of all who knew her. May her spirit soar with the love she so generously bestowed upon us all.
