His commitment to his duties was evidenced not only by his rank but also by his accomplishments as an expert marksman and top secret security officer.
Russell married Patricia Ann Reese on February 23, 1963, in Nevada, with whom he shared a remarkable love story that spanned 55 years until her passing. Together, they built a family filled with love and joy. Now reunited, they leave behind a legacy that will endure through their children and grandchildren.
Russell is survived by his daughters, Kathy Prado and Sherry Boone, and son Russell Reese, Jr. He also leaves behind his son-in-law, Mario Prado; grandchildren Elliott Boone, Jessica O'Loughlin, Makayla O'Loughlin, Russell Reese III, and Mellisa Reese; and great-grandson, Ellis Boone. He was a high school graduate and a lifelong fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, proudly exclaiming "Go Dawgs!" throughout his life, further demonstrating his unwavering spirit and camaraderie. His strong ties to his community were evident through his involvement with Calvary Chapel in San Diego County, California, where he found a sense of purpose.
