Sidney Allen (Pastor Sid) Cooper, passed away on February 16, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones and left this world in comfort. Illness took his body, but our Father in heaven received his soul.
Sidney was born on August 13, 1953, in Los Angeles, California to Lucinda and Jackson Cooper. He grew up in the little town of Trona, California. Being the all-star athlete, trustworthy worker, and loyal friend to those he knew. His moral compass was infallible, and all throughout his life he did every sort of job, lived in all sorts of places, and always kept the faith of God with him wherever he went. He touched the lives of many, by letting the light of God shine through him and his faithful words.
He and his wife, Barbara Cooper married on September 20, 2014, and moved to Texas, settling down for what would be the remainder of his days. Sid lived out the rest of his days in peace with his wife, and until the end he always had a smile on his face. He was known for his encouraging words which continuously lifted the spirit of those around him.
Sid had his hobbies, collections, and pleasures. This included collecting, antique toys, mostly mobile ones or things related to shows and memorabilia of his childhood.
He enjoyed his old sci-fi movies, but most of all Godzilla!
He loved his family, was devout to God, and was one of the most patient men anyone would ever meet. His kindness and generosity will always be remembered by those who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cooper, sons; Erik, Jason, and Cory Cooper, and daughter, Valerie Cooper.
