Stacy (Holder) Farrar

February 27, 1959 — August 1, 2023

McGregor, Texas

On Tuesday August 1, 2023 Stacy Holder Farrar- Loving wife, mother, aunt and grandmother, went on to be with the lord at the age of 64. A visitation with family will be Monday, August 7, 2023 for 7-9 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Services will be the following day Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 at 10AM with Ronnie Geeslin officiating. interment will follow at Post Oak Cemetery near Oglesby, Texas.

Stacy was born in Waco, Texas to Vernia Alton Holder and Betty Lou Bartels-Smith. Growing up she had a large family. Her sister Valerie, brother Dennis and several step siblings. She would share stories of how interesting it was at the dinner table on a daily basis.

Stacy started working at the young age of 12 years old. Most of you remember her working at the Milk Bucket, then later Grants.

After high school she married the love of her life, Randy Farrar on September 12,1981, then in December of 1986 they welcomed their only daughter Sheena into this world. For several years their life revolved around dance recitals, slumber parties and softball. She loved every second of it.

Stacy started working for the City of Mcgregor when she was just 23 years old as the Deputy tax assessor/collector, Rachel arms manager and court clerk. One thing she believed in was having a strong work ethic. She enjoyed working for the public and helping others.  She was the first face you would see when you went to pay your water bill, and she always had a kind smile to greet you with. After 38 years of service she finally retired.

Stacy enjoyed spending time at the deerlease with her family, even tho she didn't hunt , she never turned down the opportunity to read a good book.

She loved Working in her flower beds, tending to the garden, spending time with her grandchildren and Christmas in July on the Hallmark channel.

Stacy was one of a kind, very fierce and never thought twice about speaking her mind, could be a tad stubborn but loved you unconditionally no matter what. She had a special spirit inside of her. We will all deeply miss her and will carry all the good memories with us in our hearts forever.

Stacy is preceded in death by her father Vernia Holder, Mother Betty Smith, spouse  Randy Farrar, and sister Valerie Robison. Survivors include her Mother-In Law Betty Farrar, Daughter Sheena Geeslin and husband Ronnie, 2 grandchildren Jessie and Lillie Geeslin, Son Cody Whiteley and fiance Stefany, and their son Koopyr. A brother Dennis Holder along with numerous step siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
