Memorial Service

Sue Jane Stephenson passed away on April 30, 2024, in her hometown of Waco, Texas. Sue, an only child to Otis and Agnus Mirick, was born on November 14, 1949. In 1975, she married her beloved husband, Bob Drew Stephenson.  She had four beautiful children: Mark, Jon, Krista, and Chance; three lovely daughters-in-law: Kristi, Jennifer, and Kasey; and eight grandchildren: Mical, Reagan, Kennedy, Largent, Hayden, Alayna, Hander, and Layton.

A graduate of Midway High School, Sue dedicated her life to her family and worked in the home healthcare industry. She loved spending time with friends and flowers, particularly marigolds, and especially loved the Lord.

Predeceased by her parents, her husband Bob, and her son Jon, Sue’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her three children, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and friends.

Due to the inclement weather and unfortunate road damage as a result, services to honor her life will be moved to Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway dr. Waco, Tx 76712. 10:30am, Tuesday, May 7th.  Burial will take place at a later date and time.

The service will happen promptly at 10:30 by the family.  Pastor Ken Young will open with remarks, followed by Alayna Stephenson singing Not About Angel by Birdy. Hayden Stephenson will read a passage from the Bible, and Karen Murray will share memories and reflections on Sue’s life.

Sue Jane Stephenson will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were blessed to know her.
