With daughter and husband by her side, Tina Lamb Gordon peacefully passed away at home on the morning of April 22, 2026. She will be sorely missed as she was the centerpiece of the family. Tina Kaye Lamb was born to Dr. Charles Lloyd Lamb and Faye Nell Nolte on July 5, 1958 in Waco, Texas. As a child, Tina was considered a tomboy – choosing to hop in the truck with her Daddy for a hunting or fishing adventure over playing with dolls. Like her Daddy, Tina loved watching westerns, especially any movie which included her favorite actor, John Wayne.
Tina graduated from Richfield High School in 1976 enrolling at McLennan Community College the following fall semester. In 1978, she graduated with the degree of Associate in Applied Science, Data Processing. Soon after, Tina was hired at Texas Farm Bureau as a data entry clerk. She worked at Texas Farm Bureau for over 38 years predominantly in software development. Tina was a dedicated professional receiving several promotions over the years, including the employee of the month award in 2012. After her loyal years of contribution to Texas Farm Bureau, Tina retired in March 2016 as supervisor of a software development team.
Tina was also a dedicated mother and grandmother. In 1984 Tina was blessed with her daughter, Audrey Wells. While working full-time, Tina raised Audrey as a single mom. In 1995 Tina met David (Dave) Gordon. They had many common interests including fishing and watching football (Dallas Cowboys, Baylor Bears). Tina was very vocally supportive of her teams. (She could be heard from every room in the house.) Tina and David married June 24, 2001, and they would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this June. In 2006 and 2008, Tina’s grandsons, Reilly and Timothy joined the family. Tina deeply loved her grandsons and took an active role in helping Audrey in their upbringing. Tina was strict and unwavering, but also loving and caring. Her time and devotion to her grandsons is evident in the fine young men they are today. Tina was blessed with another grandchild on May 6, 2025, sweet Lena Faye Wells.
Always ready for an adventure, Tina loved to travel. Over the years Tina and family would vacation in California, Mexico and the Canadian Rockies. They would also spend time in Kerrville floating in the Guadalupe River, fishing and beachcombing on the Texas coast and traveling to the Colorado mountains. The family created so many fond memories, such as white-water rafting, zip lining and hiking up to lakes above 10,000 feet.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sheree Faye Lamb. She is survived by her daughter Audrey Wells, husband David (Dave) Gordon, and son-in-law Bradley Gordon; her sisters, Kathy (Brown) Cox and husband Joe Cox, Lisa (Scooge) Simpson and husband Lynn Simpson; her grandchildren, Reilly Bolden, Timothy Coleman, and Lena Wells; her niece and nephews, Terri, Curtis, and Travis Cox, Franco Weaver, and Garrett and Fisher Simpson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 am at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive, Waco, Texas 76712, with a visitation with family after the service.
The family would like to thank Bluebonnet Hospice for their excellent care and especially nurse Julie Roberts.
