David was born on March 1, 1936, in Versailles, New York, to David and Vera (Silas) Brooks. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. David enjoyed tinkering in his workshop and could build or fix anything. He took pride in keeping a manicured lawn, enjoyed watching Nascar, and rescued numerous dogs and cats through the years. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandson Andrew and great-grandchildren: "Come on, PaPa, let's go outside".
David was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Cal, and sisters Rita and Geraldine. He is survived by his wife, Mary. Two children, Dr. Cynthia Brooks McAdams and David Michael Brooks. Grandson Andrew McAdams and wife Brittani, two great-grandsons Nolan Andrew and Charles Brooks McAdams, sister Sheila Cooper, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved rescues Gracie, Little Toot, and Kitty, Kitty.
The family would like to thank his hospice nurse Jason and care providers, Rosa, Juana, and Jasmine.
