"GiGi" Glenda (Glaze) Dill

Glenda “GiGi” Faye Glaze Dill, 73, of Lorena, went to rest in the arms of Jesus during a medical procedure on September 20, 2021.  A Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Friday, September 24, 2021, with Pat Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Greenbriar family cemetery in Gatesville. A Visitation with the family will be 6-8 pm, Thursday, September 23rd.  Both at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Glenda was born March 9, 1948 to Mary Lee Burt and Rayford Perry Glaze in Waco, Texas, the oldest of three girls.  She was a well loved realtor and broker in the Waco area for American Dream Realty, selling many homes which bore the sign “Glenda did it again”.  She was known as the “Hewitt specialist”.  While her daughters were growing up, and young women, she often took their interests as her own, taking them to enjoy the events they wanted to see, from concerts to wrestling.  She enjoyed reading and watching her grandchildren playing their sports, she was known for her “blue drinks” and carpet bag of snacks at the games, for all the kids.  GiGi was always a giver, thinking of others before herself. Glenda was also a member of First Baptist Church Lorena.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary.

Left to cherish her memories are her father, Rayford; her sisters, Mary Ann Smiley, Vickie Sparks and husband Danny; daughters, LeAnn Villanueva and husband Jose, Melissa Dill; grandchildren, Fina, Roxanne and husband Daniel, Rubin, Brittany Ann, Jorge (Beau), Kobelee, GiAna; great grandchildren, Izabella, Julian, Harper, Joselyn; nieces and nephews, Kristi and Adam, Elizabeth and Brian, Ashley Ray and Shelly, and Lacey and Steven.

In GiGi's honor, take time this week to enjoy Blue Bell ice cream, a peach shake, coconut pie, Flan, Sprite Zero or a Fruit Punch.
