Howard Stout

July 12, 1947 — March 1, 2019

Howard Wayne Stout, 71, died in the early morning hours of Friday, March 1st, in his Waco home with his family by his side after a hard-fought battle with cancer. A Funeral Service will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with a visitation with the family starting at 1:00pm.

Wayne was born July 12th, 1947, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Wilma and Howard Stout. He received a master’s degree in Business Administration in Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1999. He had a successful career first as an Army pilot and flight instructor, and later as purchasing manager at Bell Helicopter. He married his beautiful wife, Sharon Stout, on June 28th, 1968 after meeting her at their workplace, General Dynamics. They raised their children, Sara Stout Janecek and Kevin Stout in North Richland Hills, Texas, and settled in Waco, Texas in 1999.

Wayne was a proud Freemason and spent his spare time hunting, fishing, taking road trips to the mountains, cruising through Alaska, and reminding his wonderful wife of fifty years how much he loved her. He also treasured his three granddaughters, Alexandra, Samantha, and Jessica.

Wayne is survived by his wife; two children; three granddaughters; sister, Bobby Joyce; and two nephews.
