James Thomas Jones III "Jimmy"

James Thomas “Jimmy” Jones III (36) of Waco Texas passed away unexpectedly on July 28th 2021. A Memorial Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.  A Celebration of his life will be planned for a future date.

He was born on Christmas Day 1984 In Waco Texas to Jim & Lynnette Jones. He grew up in Speegleville with his younger brother Cameron Michael Jones and many childhood friends that remain close to this day. He was a Midway High School Graduate and member of the Marine Corps JROTC. Upon graduation he worked for the family Pizzeria while attending McLennan Community College to pursue his passion of writing and music. Jimmy was a unique soul with the challenging gift of deeply feeling the world around him. His mind was extraordinary, his thoughts profound, and his heart so tender. His creativity and his vehemence for reading, writing and music stemmed from his innate desire to understand the unfathomable and to forge through the nonsensical which he found in the depth of most things. He longed to know you and for you to know him always wearing himself on his sleeves. From Superhero’s to Villains, Metal to Blues, Longfellow to Seuss, Comics and Concerts, Gaming and Grilling, sharing Sundays at Mom and Dads watching football or just spending time in the pool with the littlest Jones’s, his wide range of passions and the intenseness in which he qualified and measured them leave a rugged trench in this world and in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be missed tremendously…

Other surviving family members include his Grandmothers Marie Tompkins, Bobby Foulds, and Barbara Jones; Aunts and Uncles Marcie & Luis Lorenzo, Daniel Wiltse, William Foulds, Annette Kline, Darron & Deanna Jones, Brad & Christina Jones, Sarah & Rob Thornell, Melissa Hill, Nina & Robert Barber, Karen & Gary Chesser; sister in law, Alina Lindsey; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents; James Thomas Jones, Donald Wiltse, Frankie & Wiley (Bo) Mills, William Dale Foulds, and Uncle Rick Hill.
