John Ray Ledbetter

John Ray Ledbetter, 95, of Speegleville, peacefully passed away early Sunday morning, November 27, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Friday, 2pm, December 2, 2022 with a visitation beginning at 1 pm at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

John was born December 11, 1926 in Speegleville, Texas.  He attended school in Speegleville, following school, he joined the Navy and served the county during World War II.  Returning from the war, John married Frances Thompson and the couple had one son.  John and Frances opened and operated Ledbetter dry cleaners for over 29 years.

John was a master mason, receiving his 70 year pin.  In retirement, John and Frances loved to travel and watch the grandchildren and great grandchildren.  They will greatly miss his influence in their lives.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife; adored son; and all his siblings.

Left to carry out his legacy are his grandsons, John and wife Deedee, Tom and wife Lyly; great grandchildren, Canyon, Kacie, Nathan, Jack; and daughter in love, Twila and husband Randy Grimland.

The family wishes to thank Regina and Lou Buice, Chad and Jana Ripley, and Randy Grimland for their special friendship and helping hands over the years.
