Juli was born July 21, 1997, in Waco, TX. She graduated in 2015 from University High School and later attended the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) where she earned a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management & Marketing in 2019. Following graduation, she worked for GM Financial and held a position as a Customer Experience Management Support Clerk.
Juli, or Juju as some of her closest friends called her, was truly a role model, always kind and positive, and always gave her best. She loved to travel and visit new places. National parks, museums, art galleries and botanical gardens were places she enjoyed visiting the most. She enjoyed painting, reading, listening to música Mexicana and watching Criminal Minds. She most recently began learning to dance Norteñas and Cumbias. If they didn’t play her songs at a party she made sure to play them once she got home. Her favorite place to eat (outside of moms kitchen of course) was Chick-Fil-A. Her love of Hot Cheetos is a family trait, but her love of corn on the cob was her own. Home Goods called to her with her love of decorating, but often turned down due to low funds. Really, shopping in general. If you knew Juju, she always had to get her nails done for every occasion, or truthfully, any day. She also began to develop an appreciation for the gym and wanted to maintain an active lifestyle.

There are so many different ways that Julissa could be described because she was loved by everyone and had so many different memories with the people that she loved. She would light up any room and fill it with peace and harmony with her presence. Her soul was full of kindness and happiness. Her laugh spread positivity and joy towards anyone who heard it. She was an amazing listener and always knew how to make you feel at ease. The effect that she had on people is everlasting and not something that can ever go away. She had such a pure, serene, and uplifting way about her and she chose the people whose lives she wanted to touch. She always had a smile on her face and was easy to love. You wanted to get to know her, love her, and be her friend. She was the type of person who made any space feel cozy and comfortable and was so caring and loving. She will always be remembered and will have a place in the hearts that she touched.

She is survived by her mother, MaLilia; two brothers, Jay and Richard, his wife, Miriam, their two daughters, Emilia and Camila, three uncles, four aunts and their families.
