Karen Smith

Karen Smith of McGregor passed away Sunday morning July 12, 2020,  at the age of 62.  A memorial visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Wednesday July 15, 2020, in the chapel of Grace Gardens Funeral Home,  8220 Woodway Dr. Waco.

Karen was born March 1, 1958, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of the late Kenneth Curtis and Jo Ann (Welch) Wallace.  On December 31, 2001, she married Lee Smith in Waco, Texas.  Karen, who was a kind hearted person, took great pride in entertaining both family and friends and caring for them in her own special way.

She recently retired from McLennan County Probation Office in Waco after over twenty years of service.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Lee Smith; a son Coil Conaway; a daughter Stacie Conaway; a brother, Kurt Wallace; a granddaughter, Harley Conaway; two grandsons, Russell Lebkowsky and Tommy Lebkowsky; and several cousins.
