Luis Inocente Zavaleta

Luis Zavaleta, 73, of Waco passed away on November 2, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be planned soon and details will follow.

Luis was born December 28, 1949 in El Salvador. He was a long time Welder at Time Manufacturing Company where he retired in 2017. Once retiring he spent time in California with family and went back to El Salvador to visit family. He soon made his way back home to Waco, Texas. We are extremely grateful to have spent some time with him before his passing.

Luis loved listening to music, singing karaoke and dancing. He will be deeply missed and always hold a special place in our hearts.

We will be planning a Celebration of Life for him in December to allow family and friends to travel. Details to come.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joaquín Zavaleta and Julia Contreras.

He is survived by his sister Ana Maria Contreras; daughter Wendy and husband Taylor Oden; son Luis and wife Tori Uceda; daughter Sonia Uceda. His grandkids, Vanessa Snow, Sadie Stabeno, Paislee Oden, Gage Uceda, Adara Uceda; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Providence ER staff and the ICU nurses and doctors that took care of him during his last moments.
