Michelle was born on December 26, 1973 in Waco, TX to Mike and Pam Habern. Growing up in Waco Michelle enjoyed many activities including cheerleading, gymnastics, roller skate dancing, modeling for Dillards, Cinderella girl pageants and was Miss Waco.

Michelle graduated from Midway High School in 1992. She was in the National Honor Society and received a scholarship to The University of California Santa Barbara. Michelle had an adventurous spirit and had the blessing to travel and have beautiful experiences around the world.

Having an Entrepreneurial heart, Michelle started 24 Hour Cleaning Service, which was very successful. She had many employees cleaning some of the largest commercial buildings in Texas. She was a strong, educated woman; a powerhouse to say the least. If she put her mind to it... it was done!

Michelle had a passion for the Lord and led many bible studies. The one thing she held closest to her was her bible her mother gifted to her at age five.

Michelle’s big brother, Michael Habern Jr. was 16 months older which made them very close. They were inseparable and did everything together. They were involved in school, modeling, church, sports and shared so many friends. It was always Michelle and Michael. She called him her bubba.

Then, Michelle’s baby sister was born 9 years later. Lindy was Michelle’s joy and with their large age difference, Michelle was able to feed, teach Lindy things, cuddle with her, let her follow her around and help take care of her which she loved. They created a bond that would only get stronger over the years. A quote from Michelle,”Two young sisters grew stronger and stronger. It’s clear to see the true definition of sisterhood in me and Lindy. Every time I see my baby sis the Desire to pick her up and hold her, sing to her, love on her like when she was a little baby will always be a clear happy picture in my mind and a very special memory in my heart.”

Michelle was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Reo and Frances Habern; maternal grandparents, Gene and Virginia Proffitt.

Survivors include her children, Journey Michael Warren and his fiancée Dixie, their baby Truly Ann Warren. Jordan Warren, Lillian Habern; mother, Pam Proffitt, father Mike Habern Sr. and his wife Nille Habern; brother Michael Habern Jr.; nephew,Cody Habern; sister, Lindy Habern, niece, Lola Capri Richardson; Gary Warren; numerous loving cousins and dear friends.

Michelle was also blessed with three beautiful children. Jordan, Journey and Lillian. They were the light of her life. She loved to tell stories about them and all of their accomplishments. They were her pride and joy. She is soon to become a grandmother to a baby girl named Truly Ann Warren.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Habern Jr ; Journey Warren, James Ray, Russell Feight, Milton Leal, and Ricky Foster.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the palliative and hospice care team at Hillcrest Baylor Scott and White team. Also, to many of our friends and family for the prayers and support. A special big thank you to Jennifer Landsbaum and Stephanie Schroeder as they were by our side as we embraced our Michelle into the hands of Jesus.
