Michelle Cunningham Wahlberg passed away early Monday morning, April 26, 2021, at the age of 58. A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. Judith March Hardie officiating.
Michelle was born October 12, 1962, in Jacksonville, Texas, the daughter of Woodie Lee and Dorothy Wynell (Crews) Cunningham. At an early age, she moved to Waco and was a 1981 graduate of Richfield High School. Most of Michelle’s business career was in the insurance field. For the last 19 years, she was employed with Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Texas.
It has been said, she was an accomplished vocalist and has performed in a band in her hometown. Michelle was a people person who had a host of close friends. She had a great love for animals, especially her dog FiFi.
Preceding her in death was her father, Woodie Lee Cunningham.
Survivors include her mother Dorothy (Cunningham) Tate of Waco; one son, Michael Daron Rhodes, Jr. of Katy; two daughters, Allison Paige Wahlberg of Waco, Ashley (Wahlberg) Evans of Belton; a goddaughter, Harleigh Jade McAdams of Waco; three sisters, Johnna Priest, Laurie Broesche, Gina Boyer, her stepfather David Tate and her beloved pup, FiFi.
