Pamela Dawn Whaley of McGregor, passed away at her residence, December 30, 2020, surrounded by her loving husband and family at the age of 60.   At a later date, the family will have a private gathering to honor Pamela’s life.

Pamela was born to the late Samuel Fred and Joy May (Teague) Bass in Arvada, Colorado on August 10, 1960.  As a young child, she moved to McGregor where she was a 1978 graduate of McGregor High School.   On April 20, 2000, she married Johnny Whaley in McGregor where they settled and made their home.

Pamela was employed by Westview Manor Nursing Home has a dietary manager for 22 years.  She was recently employed by St. Anthony’s Care Center where she worked until her death.  Pamela was very passionate about bringing out the most positive change in people.  Christmas was a special time of the year and she enjoyed watching Hallmark Christmas movies throughout the year.  Home improvement projects, with the help of Johnny, were one of her passions. Dominoes and Skip Bo were two of her favorite games to play and she was very good at both as she always won.   She loved her dogs as much as she loved her family.  Most of all she loved her husband, children, family and friends fiercely and unconditionally.    Her legacy that she leaves behind is that she taught everyone she met how to love unconditionally, how to forgive and she told everyone about Jesus.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a Niece Christy Bass and a Nephew Justin Bass.

Survivors include her husband of twenty years, Johnny Whaley.   Together they raised 5 children Larry Kelly, John Whaley, Jason Whaley, Stacie Lokey and husband Ricky, Alicia Urbanovsky and husband Darrell.
