Patricia Elaine (DeChaume) Sheffield

Patricia (DeChaume) Sheffield passed away Wednesday, June 23rd in Waco, Texas.  She was born in Clifton, Texas on March 14, 1953 to Langston and Alma Jean DeChaume.  She and her seven sisters grew up on a dairy farm in Ocee, Texas.

Later she moved to the Dallas area where she met and married Ron Sheffield.  They had a son, Ronnie Langston and a daughter, Kelly Elayne.  Patricia worked for Allstate Insurance for 27 years.  She enjoyed the challenge of mastering new processes and made many lifelong friends among her coworkers.  She was an avid baker.  So much so that many still call her by the nickname “Pattycakes”.  Her other passion was travel.  In 2019 she was overjoyed to retire to Eddy, Texas to reconnect with family and friends in Central Texas.

Patricia is survived by husband, Ron; son, Ronnie; daughter, Kelly Smith and husband Derik; granddaughters, Ava, and Darcie Sheffield, Millie and Hattie Smith; sisters, Brenda Hilliker, Shirley Oliver, Nita Marek, and Darlet Demming.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and sisters, Vicky Mata, May Dell White, and Judy Kay McDonald.
