Sharon met the love of her life, Wayne, on a rare, snowy day in Waco. They were married December 23, 1966, and were blessed with three children: Anna, Sara, and Joel.
Sharon found much joy in her working career, holding such positions as co-owner of the House of Greenery florist, office manager for St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, and administrative assistant for Baylor University’s department of Political Science. After she retired, she and Wayne enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren each week.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Mildred Brown, and her niece Shannon Yarber. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Wayne Edwards, who lovingly cared for her at home over the past four years; daughter Anna Henderson and husband Terry; daughter Sara Trim and husband Jacob; son Joel Edwards and wife Rebecca. She is also survived by grandchildren James Henderson, Cassidy Trim, Ella Edwards, Jack Edwards, and Lucy Edwards; sister DeiAnna Casiano; brother Russell Brown and wife Mary Beth; brother-in-law Lowell Edwards and wife Diana; nieces Lisa Grimm, Christen Kimmitt, Chelsea Walter, Kimberly Dickens, and Makayla Brown; and nephews Daniel Dickens, Nate and Rob Edwards.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Community Healthcare of Texas, Providence Hospice, and Providence Hospice Place nurses and staff for their kindness and care over the past two and a half weeks.
