Shawn Brody Carter

June 30, 1999 — September 1, 2020

Moody, Texas

Shawn Brody Carter, 21, of Moody, Texas, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, great grandson and friend, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in Moody, Texas.  A Celebration of his life will be 11:00 am, Monday, September 7, 2020 at Central Texas Sportsman Club, at 685 Centex Sportsman Road, Temple (Belton) with Rev. Steve and Cyndi Abbe officiating.

Shawn was a graduate of Camelback High School, in Phoenix, Arizona.  He was currently enrolled in Temple College and employed at the Dollar General in Moody. Shawn had a Cheshire smile, you just never knew what he was thinking, or was going to say.  He was a goofy sort of guy and shy, but he was always ready to help.  He was an amazing artist, but very humble, to the extreme.  He was just as happy to get on the floor and play with his baby brother, he even had an extensive pokeman collection, yet then in the next moment he could have an extremely intelligent conversation about the world.  Shawn is the one who would hug and love on everyone.  He had a heart for animals and they loved him as well.

Shawn’s impact on the world will continue to live in his parents, Amiee and Randall Yates; brothers, Ashton Milton and wife Alyssa, Ledger Yates; grandparents, Gaylan and Juanita Buittner; special aunt, Trinity Aguallo; cousin, Anastacia Aguallo; and many extended family and friends.
