Terri Lea Cagle

August 25, 1964 — September 15, 2021

McGregor, Texas

Terri Cagle, 57, of McGregor, passed away on September 15, 2021, at Hillcrest hospital surrounded by her children.  A visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Old West Cowboy Church, with Pastor Tom Warnock officiating, followed by a memorial service at 11 AM.

Terri was born August 25, 1964, in Birmingham, AL.  Her family lived in Alabama and Florida before moving to Texas.  After graduating from Midway High School in 1982, she started a family and had three children: Brandi, Ronnie, and Kaitlyn.  She adored her children and made sure to speak to them nearly every single day.  As a child, Terri loved to dance and taught her children to dance like there wasn’t anyone watching, even if that meant in public.

Terri loved visiting the beach with her family and collecting seashells.  She also enjoyed watching scary movies with her youngest daughter.  Terri loved a good true crime documentary.  Terri was an avid animal lover and tried to help as many strays as she could.  Terri had an amazing sense of humor that she loved to share with everyone, and never met a stranger.  Terri had a heart of gold, was unapologetically unique, and had a smile that could light up a room.  Terri also enjoyed sharing her family history and photos with friends and neighbors.  She and her father shared a love for Alabama football, and that’s where you could find her on Saturdays in the fall.

Being Mimi to her grandsons was one of Terri’s greatest joys in life.  She bragged about them often.  Terri truly looked forward to decorating and trick or treating with her grandsons each year for Halloween, which was her favorite holiday.  She found great delight in watching Gunner play sports and playing dinosaurs with Will.

Terri is preceded in death by her father Chuck Cagle, mother Willow Sebastian, aunt Walker Sebastian, and brother Donnie Wilson.

Survivors include her daughter Brandi Armstrong and husband Trenton, son Ronnie Browder and wife Corina, daughter Kaitlyn Groppe and husband Wesley, grandsons Gunner Armstrong and Will Browder, stepmother Barbara Cagle, sister Sheri Spurgeon, sister Teresa Horton and husband Joey; many nieces and nephews; extended family and special friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and doctors of the MICU at Hillcrest hospital.  They would also like to thank Tom Warnock and the Old West Cowboy Church.

The guest book is offered at www.gracegardensfuneralhome.com where you may leave your condolences or a fond memory of Terri.
