Tyler, endeared to his family as “Topper,” was born in Waco, Texas on April 10, 1994 to Jack Howard, Jr. (Jay) and Beth Ann Cockerham. He was a Midway High School graduate class of 2012. After graduation, Tyler attended Blinn College in Bryan. Upon leaving Bryan, Tyler worked in Waco as a fitter/welder at Central Texas Iron Works where his dad, “Jay”, at the time served as the Human Resource Manager. The two enjoyed the morning commute, lunch breaks, and talking about their fantasy football teams. After leaving CTIW, Tyler worked numerous jobs as a contractor alongside family and friends.

Tyler was known for his loving presence and compassionate heart. He brought light to all who knew him with his kindness, tenderness, and loyalty. Family and friends were a source of joy and love to him. Tyler made you feel like you were the most important person when he was with you. One of the most special parts of Tyler’s life was the relationship he shared with his girlfriend Caitlin and her daughter, Mollie. He loved and cherished every moment he spent with them. Tyler made a huge impact on every person he knew and left behind Christ-like and pure love to all he knew.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jay Cockerham; his grandfather, Bob Hering; and his grandfather, Jack Cockerham.
